Teachers of a teenage girl who died in 2017 were \u201cabsolutely horrible\u201d to her, her best friend has said.<\/p>\n

Megan Evans, 14, was found dead at her Milford Haven home after allegedly being bullied on social media.<\/p>\n

Speaking at an inquest into her death, Chloe Boswell, now 22, said Megan did not want to go to school \u201cbecause they [teachers] were horrible to her\u201d.<\/p>\n

A former assistant head teacher at Milford Haven School, in Pembrokeshire, had previously said they were \u201csatisfied\u201d that anti-bullying policies had been implemented.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ms Boswell, who said she had been \u201cpractically inseparable\u201d with Megan since the age of three, said she \u201csaw firsthand\u201d how Mark Styles, a teacher responsible for behaviour management, would \u201cpick away at her\u201d, referencing her incorrect school uniform.<\/p>\n

Ms Boswell said she was aware that Megan had self-harmed in the past and had trouble with other pupils in the school, adding that the school was \u201chorrible to her\u201d.<\/p>\n

Giving evidence in Pembrokeshire County Hall, she said that on the day of her death Megan was \u201cher normal bubbly self, there was no indication that there was something wrong\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, the inquest also heard that Megan\u2019s behaviour changed in school in the days and weeks leading up to her death.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe didn\u2019t say \u2018I\u2019m struggling\u2019 but you could see it in her behaviour,\u201d Ms Boswell said.<\/p>\n

Travis Johnson, who was two years above Megan at school, said he spoke with her on Snapchat hours before her death.<\/p>\n

The inquest saw a transcript of their conversation where Megan said, \u201cI CBA [could not be bothered] anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another friend, Macey Power, 21, said she was aware that Megan had received unkind messages on social media.<\/p>\n

Megan told friends that she was \u201clogging off\u201d from Snapchat before her death, the inquest heard.<\/p>\n

A day earlier at the inquest, a former assistant head teacher at the school said she was \u201csatisfied\u201d that anti-bullying policies had been implemented.<\/p>\n

But Ms Boswell said she frequently saw bullying at the school, saying it was untrue that the school did not tolerate bullying.<\/p>\n

Becoming emotional in court, Ms Boswell said some pupils felt they could not speak to teachers.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou couldn\u2019t trust the teachers in school with things like that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
