PM Narendra Modi Guyana Visit:<\/strong> Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/a> met West Indies cricket personalities in Guyana during the last leg of his three-nation visit and highlighted cricket as a connecting bond between India and the Caribbean nations.<\/p>\n

Clive Lloyd Heaps Praise On PM Modi<\/h4>\n

Cricket legend and former West Indies skipper Clive Lloyd heaped praise on PM Modi after the meeting while also noting his interest in Cricket and his work to help in the expansion of the sport.<\/p>\n

He said that he would \u201clike more Prime Ministers like PM Modi<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a good discussion\u2026The conversation went very well\u2026I think 11 of our players will now be training in India. So, it has been a very good decision by them. We are thankful to them for that\u2026The people have chosen him twice, so it\u2019s obvious that he is doing a good job. He is interested in Cricket and that is very good. He is doing things to help to boost Cricket. So, we would like more Prime Ministers like him,” the cricketing legend said.<\/p>\n

Other West Indian Players Praise PM Modi<\/h4>\n

Guyanese Cricketer Devendra Bishoo lauded PM Modi, describing him as an \u201camazing guy”.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeeting him for the first time is amazing\u2026He is an amazing guy\u2026Our President and him, we had a lot of events over the few days. I think the people in Guyana love him and really appreciate that he is there and spent some time with our country and diverse culture. So, having him here is amazing. He seemed so simple\u2026which is one good quality of a human being,” he said.<\/p>\n

Former cricketer Alvin Kallicharran hailed the Prime Minister\u2019s knowledge of Cricket and said that meeting him one-on-one was \u201cmagic”.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody in India knows Cricket. But his knowledge is special because he knows when we went to India. He knows us by our first name\u2026To meet the Prime Minister today personally is magic\u2026The connection is tremendous. The kind of help to work with our young Cricketers is very kind of the Prime Minister and India,” he said.<\/p>\n

PM Modi Concludes 3-Nation Visit<\/h4>\n

PM Modi concluded his three-nation tour with a busy final day in Guyana, marked by significant engagements. He met prominent West Indies cricket personalities, addressed a Special Session of the National Assembly, and participated in several cultural and community events.<\/p>\n

During his visit to Georgetown, the Prime Minister paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at his statue in Promenade Gardens. He also offered floral tributes at the Arya Samaj Monument, visited the Saraswati Vidya Niketan School, and paid his respects at the Indian Arrival Monument in the Monument Gardens. He also addressed an Indian community gathering.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister had arrived in the country on Wednesday, marking the first visit by an Indian PM in over 50 years.<\/p>\n
