On November 22<\/span><\/span>nd<\/span><\/span>, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/span><\/span> (BiH)<\/span><\/span>, Elmedin Konakovi<\/span><\/span>c<\/span><\/span>, received the Ambassador of Japan to BiH, Masami Kinefuchi, during a farewell visit.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the excellent and friendly bilateral relations between B<\/span><\/span>iH<\/span><\/span> and Japan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Minister Konakovi<\/span><\/span>c<\/span><\/span> expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance Japan has provided to B<\/span><\/span>iH<\/span><\/span> over the years, particularly in the reform process, emphasizing the long-term developmental aid and numerous donations. He conveyed special thanks for Japan\u2019s support in the adoption of the Resolution on the International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide of 1995 at the <\/span><\/span>United Nations (<\/span><\/span>UN<\/span><\/span>)<\/span><\/span> General Assembly in May of this year. He also invited Japanese officials to attend the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ambassador Kinefuchi emphasized that Japan will continue to support B<\/span><\/span>iH<\/span><\/span>. He noted that during his tenure, he visited many places in the country and highlighted the investment opportunities and potential for investors in BiH. He reflected on the significance of the visit by Japanese Foreign Minister Y<\/span><\/span>o<\/span><\/span>ko Kamikawa to BiH in July this year to strengthen relations between the two countries and thanked Minister Konakovi<\/span><\/span>c<\/span><\/span> for his hospitality.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The discussion also addressed the enhancement of economic relations, visa liberalization, contractual agreements, multilateral cooperation, and the World Expo 2025, which will take place next year in Japan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, Minister Konakovi<\/span><\/span>c<\/span><\/span> expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Kinefuchi for his active dedication and engagement during his tenure in B<\/span><\/span>iH<\/span><\/span> and wished him personal and professional success in the future.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
