President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s eldest son Trump Jr. has revealed that the Republican is planning to open the doors of the White House press briefing to more independent journalists and social media influencers and restrict and restrict some mainstream media journalists.<\/p>\n

In his podcast \u2018Triggered with Donald Trump<\/a> Jr\u2019, Trump Jr was asked by Daily Wire<\/em> political commentator Michael Knowles \u201cif it was time to take away seats\u201d belonging to traditional media.<\/p>\n

Trump Jr claimed that he was breaking the news over that point and said \u201cBecause I literally had this conversation\u2026I was on the plane with my father. We had the conversation about opening up the press room to a lot of these independent journalists.\u201d<\/p>\n

Donald Trump has been vocal against the coverage by mainstream media and outlets over coverage that is critical to him. Trump had recently filed a suit against CBS News demanding $10 billion in damages over the network\u2019s \u201c60 Minutes\u201d interview with Vice President Kamala Harris<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump Jr. further added on his podcast, \u201cIf the New York Times has lied, they\u2019ve been averse to everything, they\u2019re functioning as the marketing arm to the Democrat party, why not open it up to people who have larger viewerships, stronger followings?\u201d<\/p>\n
