The opposition has criticised the Prime Minister\u2019s planned trip to Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>According to Slovak President Petr Pellegrini, only time will tell whether Prime Minister Robert Fico will go to Moscow for the celebrations of the end of the Second World War, but it is his right.<\/p>\n<p>Michal \u0160ime\u010dka, chair of the opposition Progressive Slovakia party, sees several reasons behind Fico\u2019s trip to Moscow. In his opinion, the prime minister wants to divert attention from the fact that his coalition is falling apart, his expensive policies are being heaped on the people and his government nominees are failing. \u201cHowever, all three motives are united by one thing \u2013 complete cluelessness and harm to Slovakia\u2019s interests,\u201d he pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister accepted an invitation to attend the celebrations from Russian President Putin. After the government meeting in Topo\u013e\u010dianky, Fico said that he wanted to honour the memory of the fallen soldiers at the Russian celebrations.
