First Lady Jill Biden took delivery of the official White House Christmas tree just before the Thanksgiving holiday \u2014 but her announcement about where the tree had come from raised eyebrows.<\/p>\n

Biden explained that the massive Fraser Fir had come from a family-owned Christmas tree farm in North Carolina \u2014 and that the family had nicknamed it \u201cTree-mendous\u201d when it remained standing after thousands of their trees were lost during Hurricane Helene.<\/p>\n

But critics were not impressed with Biden\u2019s remarks, arguing that if the tree was a symbol of \u201cextraordinary hope,\u201d maybe the political elites should have left it where it stood.<\/p>\n
