Abdelatty expressed his concern over the escalation and reaffirmed Egypt\u2019s continued support for Syria\u2019s national institutions, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also highlighted Syria\u2019s critical role in ensuring regional stability and combating terrorism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a war monitor, rebel forces led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and allied factions had <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2024\/nov\/29\/syrian-rebels-launch-surprise-attack-on-aleppo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">regained control<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of most of Aleppo city by Saturday. In response, Syrian authorities closed Aleppo airport and key access roads as clashes between government forces and HTS fighters intensified.
