President-elect Donald Trump announces key appointments to his administration, selecting Steven Cheung as communications director and Sergio Gor to lead the Presidential Personnel Office.

President-elect Donald Trump revealed on Nov. 15 that Steven Cheung, his campaign spokesperson, will serve as White House communications director, while Sergio Gor will take charge of the Presidential Personnel Office.
“Steven Cheung and Sergio Gor have been trusted advisors since my first presidential campaign in 2016, and have continued to champion America First principles throughout my first term, all the way to our historic victory in 2024,” Trump wrote in an official statement.
Steven Cheung: Trusted Strategist
Cheung, who previously served as director of strategic response in Trump’s first administration, has been an integral part of Trump’s campaigns since 2016. He also worked on the transition team and brings private-sector experience from his tenure at the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
In his new role as assistant to the president and head of communications, Cheung will oversee messaging strategies for the administration.
Sergio Gor: Personnel Office Leader
Sergio Gor, founder of Winning Team Publishing and a former pro-Trump Super PAC leader, will lead the Presidential Personnel Office. Gor also worked in Sen. Rand Paul’s office and has been a staunch supporter of Trump’s America First agenda.
In his new capacity, Gor will manage presidential appointments and ensure alignment with the administration’s goals.
The position Gor will occupy was held by John McEntee during Trump’s first term.
Early Support from Trump Allies
The announcement generated immediate support from Trump’s inner circle. Donald Trump Jr. celebrated the news in a post on X, calling Gor a perfect fit for the role, stating, “Sergio will be great!”
With these key appointments, Trump continues to solidify his leadership team as he prepares to return to the White House in January 2025. Both Cheung and Gor have pledged to uphold the administration’s America First principles.
