We are sure that the relations between Georgia and the USA, as well as between Georgia and the European Union, will be qualitatively overloaded, – said the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. In particular, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze answered the question related to the discussion of the issue of Georgia at the Council of Foreign Affairs of the European Union on November 18.

According to Kobakhidze, the cooperation with the European Union is proceeding as planned.”As for specific surnames, we are not interested in [Andrews] Kubilius and Rasa [Yuknevichiene], the resources for cooperation with them are practically completely exhausted. This is the result of their actions.

As for cooperation with the European Union, everything is going as we planned. One election has ended in Georgia and another election has ended in the USA. It ended in exactly the way it was supposed to reset Georgia-US and Georgia-EU relations. Now there is a third issue left, this is the end of the war in Ukraine, and there is already active talk about the fact that the war in Ukraine will end soon. Of course, after the completion of these three events, everything will go in a positive direction. We are sure that relations between Georgia-USA and Georgia-EU will be qualitatively overloaded,” Kobakhidze noted.

In addition, he answered the question related to the possible suspension of visa liberalization for Georgia, stating that it is “absolutely not serious”.

“I will repeat once again, I am sure that everything will go towards a qualitative reset of relations. What is important to us. You know that integration into the European Union is Georgia’s main foreign policy priority and I will do everything to fulfill this task. For this, we will have fulfilled more than 90% of the obligations stipulated by the Association Agreement and the Free Trade Agreement over 4 years. This is our responsibility to society,” Kobakhidze said.

For information, the Council of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, on November 18, will discuss the situation in Georgia in the light of the parliamentary elections held on October 26.
