“The European Union will work to achieve the goal of reducing harmful emissions by at least 55% over the next five years,” European Commissioner for Climate Action Wopke Hoekstra said, APA reports.
He added that the objective is to achieve climate neutrality by 2030: “This is a task set before us. To accomplish this, activities for investment purposes must continue. The purpose of our gathering here is to find ways to align climate change mitigation measures with the economic policies of countries. We aim to ensure the accessibility of environmentally friendly electricity.”
