European Union Ambassador to Engage Belizean Youth During December Visit

The newly appointed European Ambassador to Belize, Her Excellency Erja Askola is slated to make her inaugural visit to Belize come early next month.  In preparation for her trip, arrangements are already being made for her to meet with representatives of youth organizations involved in various advocacies.  Her itinerary will also include meetings with the alumni of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Programme funded by the European Union.  Love News understands that the Ambassador is looking to engage young people to get their perspectives on Belize, the youth population and their ideas on the role of the European Union.  The meetings are slated for Tuesday, December 3 in Belmopan.  Ambassador Askola succeeds Her Excellency Marianne Van Steen who served Belize from December 2020 through to August 2024.
