Abu Dhabi: Robert Beugré Mambé, Côte d’Ivoire Prime Minister, has visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to cultural dialogue and global collaboration. Accompanied by a representative, Prime Minister Mambé was received by Dr. Yousif Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center, who led the group on a tour of the mosque’s expansive halls and striking external corridors.
The commission was briefed on the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque’s enduring message of coexistence, tolerance, and openness—core principles encouraged by the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. During the visit, the Prime Minister and his delegation delved into the mosque’s history, analyzing its intricate Islamic architecture and stunning design elements combining tradition and modernity. They also learned about the pivotal role of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center in promoting a tolerant Islamic culture, encouraging mutual understanding, and encouraging dialogue among global communities.

To mark the occasion, the delegation was presented with a copy of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace. This unique publication showcases the architectural brilliance of the mosque through award-winning photographs from the “Spaces of Light” Photography Award. The book underscores the mosque’s cultural and spiritual significance, as well as its status as a beacon of peace and harmony.
The visit recalls growing cultural ties between Côte d’Ivoire and the UAE, strengthening shared values of inclusivity and dialogue on a global scale.
